Title design
Font tone:
For our title design, our group wanted a very settled and sneaky title design throughout the beginning credits. Since our final task is based on mystery and adventure, we wanted the title to be hidden but bold enough for the audience to see. The three types of fonts we considered were Pink Panther, Six Feet Under, and Snatch.
1.
2.
We didn't want the movie title to be super flashy or super noticeable, so we decided to keep the contrast low and stick to basic title colors such as black, grey, white, and maybe blue.
Size:
Our group has discussed that the title shouldn't be super noticeable and should be kind of concealed and later revealed as the scene continues. We thought that the size of the font should start at around 24 and later be enhanced to size 60 or 70. We think it is better to start small so the title doesn't interrupt the actions in the scene and distract the audience. It is important that the audience can also read the title of the task so they can understand what the movie is called and what based around.
Working title: "Three Teens in Black"
How will the title(the words) enter and leave the screen?:
The title of the film will appear on the screen secretly within or on top of an object, such as a text message, a mailbox, or a computer screen. We wanted the title to be as secretive as possible to fit the theme of the film, and later expose the title to the audience to introduce the movie.
How long will each title be on the screen before it disappears?:
For the movie titles as well as the crew titles, we preferred that the movie title shouldn't be on the screen for more than six/seven seconds, and the crew titles should be no longer than three to five seconds long. We only intend to introduce the movie and the crew members, not distract the audience at the beginning of the film.
