1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? a. During this project's research, we tried to follow a similar convention norm within the filmmaking industry. Commercials are meant to showcase and persuade audiences to buy certain products to help the company and benefit the buyer. To do this certain conventual norms that are integrated may include stereotypes, stigma messaging, language styles, and/or props to add emphasis. In the process of production, we tried to stay to the known convention norms within the commercial styling to keep it simple and neat. These norms help the commercial to remain clean and neat while also keeping the attention of the audience with understanding rather than confusion. b.
